Benchmarks change by industry. So does the playbook.
A 6.64% CTR is great in one vertical and poor in another. We tune to your industry's real numbers, not a blended average.
Home services
High-intent, $9.87 avg CPC, negatives decide profit.
Ecommerce & DTC
Shopping and PMax tuned to a real ROAS target, not the 4:1 myth.
Legal & professional
The most expensive clicks in search; every form fill counts.
Healthcare & dental
Local intent, Animals & Pets levels of conversion potential.
Finance & insurance
9.83% CTR but a 2.64% conversion rate, landing pages are the lever.
B2B & SaaS
Long cycles, lead quality over lead volume, offline-conversion import.
The questions every prospect asks
Agencies price three ways: a percentage of ad spend (10–20%, with 15% most common), a flat monthly retainer ($1,500–$10,000 for most SMBs), or a hybrid base plus a smaller percentage. SocialRevenue scopes the model to your spend and goals on the audit call, so you see the fee before any commitment.
The 4:1 rule of thumb is the common target, but it is only useful against your margin. Average ecommerce ROAS sat near 2.87:1 in 2025, so a "good" number is any return above your break-even with room for profit. We set the target from your unit economics, not a generic benchmark.
In-house works when you have a dedicated person who lives in the account daily. Most teams do not, and part-time management is where budget leaks through broad match and stale negatives. An agency buys you specialist time and a second set of eyes on the data, usually for less than a salaried hire.
The all-industry search average is 8.18% as of 2026, but the spread is huge: under 3% in Finance and over 16% in Animals & Pets. A good rate is one above your industry benchmark and trending up. We hold your account against the right industry figure, not the blended average.
